a ‘lil note to you . . .
it’s okay if you didn’t reach all your goals this year. it’s okay to close this chapter quietly. you got up on the hardest days. you showed up when you didn’t want to. you accomplished things you told yourself you couldn’t. accomplishments don’t have to be monumental to celebrate them. be proud of yourself for being here today.
going into the new year doesn’t require you to set grand goals and change who you are as a person. while resolutions work for some, they don’t for others. while some have their goals outlined at the start of the year, some figure them out as they stumble their way through the coming months. some don’t even set goals at all. give yourself grace as you enter this new year, and show up as quietly or loudly as you wish. you are already valid and whole and enough.
there is no “right way” to end a year and start a new one.
hold onto whatever gives you hope or allows you to feel a sense of comfort in this season of transition. it doesn’t have to look like the person next to you. don’t mind what they’re doing. focus on what works for you, hold onto that and carry it with you as you navigate 2022z
happy new year, pals 🥂✨
